The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) connected with hundreds of global business leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in a series of six inaugural events hosted by its international network of offices to discuss expansion opportunities in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

ADIO’s offices in London, Paris, Beijing, Seoul, New York and San Francisco each hosted an event to introduce their respective markets to the benefits of doing business in Abu Dhabi.

The series, which ended in December, included speeches and panel discussions from companies that have grown successfully in Abu Dhabi. The virtual sessions were complemented by in-person events and side meetings in cities which provided opportunities for the exchange of ideas and networking between ADIO and the foreign companies present.

Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Economic Development Department, said, “The benefits of doing business in Abu Dhabi are unmatched in the region, especially for companies focused on innovation and technology. Within our investment ecosystem, businesses will find strong government support, established infrastructure, and enabling regulations to accelerate their next stage of growth. By connecting with innovators around the world, ADIO is stepping up its vision to advance solutions that benefit everyone. “

The events organized by ADIO’s international offices are part of a series of strategic initiatives aimed at helping innovative companies take advantage of opportunities in the emirate, as ADIO redoubles its efforts to support global investors.

Established in January 2021, ADIO’s international office network connects businesses in Abu Dhabi, leveraging local capacities to tailor ADIO’s range of financial and non-financial incentives to the needs of global investors. International office teams have received hundreds of inquiries in the recent round of events and have built a lead pipeline with potential investors exploring expansion in Abu Dhabi.

Monira Al-Kuttab, Executive Director of ADIO, said: “For global businesses, Abu Dhabi offers access to a rapidly growing region through a supportive business ecosystem and exceptional connectivity. ADIO is proud to showcase the abundant growth opportunities in Abu Dhabi. This is just the tip of the iceberg: The inaugural events of ADIO’s international network of offices kick off a series of investor support initiatives, as part of our renewed commitment to local business community.
