Glance invests in Collective Artists Network

Glance, the consumer internet company behind two Indian digital content platforms – Glance and Roposo – today announced that it has invested in Collective Artists Network, a leading Indian talent management network and market of pop culture.

The collaboration is expected to give Glance strategic access to India’s top creators and celebrities, while providing disruptive and enduring monetization opportunities for the country’s entertainment talent. Glance is already in advanced discussions for partnerships with some of these celebrities and designers as a result of this investment. These partnerships are expected to help fuel live content on the Glance lock screen and boost entertainment-driven commerce on Roposo.

Piyush Shah, Co-Founder of InMobi Group and President and COO of Glance: “Creator-led live content and commerce is the future of entertainment and e-commerce, and we intend to be at the forefront of this evolution. This strategic investment in Collective Artists Network is a step in this direction and allows us to forge significant and long-term synergies within the ecosystem of creators. Our vision is to enable creators to move from the status of simple artist to that of “creator-entrepreneur”; whether through live entertainment content or through various lucrative commercial channels, both on Glance and Roposo, said

Vijay Subramaniam, Group CEO and Founder of Collective Artists Network, “With the merging of the content and commerce worlds, celebrities and creators are increasingly looking for new avenues of growth and want to partner with platforms. which not only have scale, but also offer excellent economic returns. Glance and Collective are committed to building a sustainable economy for creators, in which they can become partners and entrepreneurs. This is an innovative partnership in our business and with the scale of Glance and our extensive network, this will provide a significant opportunity for the designer ecosystem, “mentioned

In July of this year, the two companies together launched Glance Collective, a JV company that co-creates consumer brands with several celebrities and designers. This partnership is an example of how Glance is boosting entrepreneurship in the designer economy by empowering creators to co-own brands, instead of just endorsing them.
