Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) Dante Mossi and the President visited the Ministries of Blue Economy and Sustainable Development on the last day of his five-day mission to Belize.
“In line with the Bank’s objective of sustainable economic growth, they discussed opportunities for initiatives to support the development of integrated, sustainable and healthy marine and coastal resources,” CABEI said on Twitter.
The CABEI delegation ended today his five-day visit to Belize during which he explored opportunities for cooperation with the government of Belize and met with virtually all government departments.
A cooperative agreement for the $1.25 million scholarship program was signed with the government of Belize on Monday and another agreement for the rehabilitation of the Philip Goldson Highway from Ladyville to Gardenia was due to be signed on Friday.
Dr. Osmond Martinez, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment and Carlos Pol, Director and Technical Focal Point of CABEI, accompanied Mossi and his team during all meetings and site visits.
