Berlin (VNA) – The Vietnamese innovation network in Europe (VINEU) was launched during a ceremony held at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and via video conference on October 16.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr Nguyen Manh Hai, Investment Advisor at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, stressed that the creation of VINEU will provide a platform for intellectuals and scientists in Europe to share their knowledge and experience in science and technology, contribute to innovation and socio-economic development in Vietnam.
Vice Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Huy Dong said the establishment of VINEU should improve access to technology and innovation in European nations Going through Vietnamese experts, as well as expanding cooperation, investment and trade opportunities for Vietnam’s innovation activities, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data and healthcare.
director of the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) Vu Quoc Huy said that NIC, with a network of nearly 1,000 experts and intellectuals around the world, will continue to support the activities of VINEU and its subsidiaries to foster Vietnam’s innovative work in time to come.
Representatives of some companies and organizations from Vietnam and Europe also shared innovation activities, research studies and products during a seminar organized on the sidelines of the launch event./.
